Jimmy Doohan
Mr. Alexander Scott (Scotty)
March 3, 1920 - July 20, 2005
My deepest condolences to Mr. Doohan's family in their
time of loss. His portayal of the wonderful Mr.
Montgomery Scott (Scotty) will be remembered always
in the Star Trek community, as well as his many
contributions in the film industry! He will be
greatly missed and remembered always by the fans that
grew to love him as if he were a close friend.
I know I will!!
Houston-based Space Services Inc., which specializes
in space memorials, sent a few grams of Doohan’s
ashes aboard a rocket in 2006. Remains are sealed in
an aluminum capsule that stays in orbit up to several
hundred years before falling and vaporizing in the
Earth’s atmosphere, the company has said.
Finally, Scotty has truely "beamed up"!!
